Aston Villa fans make exciting predictions after star messaged Tyrone Mings
Tyrone Mings has been praised for his performance in England at Euro 2020 by his Aston Villa teammate Ezri Konsa.
Mings helped Gareth Southgate’s side get off to a winning start in the tournament by beating Croatia 1-0 at Wembley on Sunday.
The Villa defender has been given the go-ahead to start alongside John Stones at center-back, in the absence of Harry Maguire, who is not yet fit following an injury layoff.
While Jack Grealish had to watch from the bench, Mings completed the 90 minutes and produced an impressive display in his first appearance in a major international tournament.
After the game, Villa posted some stats from his official Twitter account, showing their man had 72 touches, 56 completed passes, four interceptions, three clearances, an aerial duel won and no fouls committed.
In response to this, Konsa – Mings’ central club-level partner – tweeted: “My boy @ OfficialTM_3” with an OK hand and heart emoji.
This prompted Villa fans to let the Uncapped Konsa know that they believe he should be part of the England squad as well – and that his time may well come before the next major tournament – the World Cup. 2022 in Qatar.
“Yes yes Ezri Qatar for you bruv,” one fan said on Twitter, while another said: “To next boy.”
A third fan tweeted: “He (Mings) was great today. Your time will come.”
After the game against Croatia, Mings told BBC Sport: “It’s a dream come true to play in a major tournament for England and I loved every second of it.
“It was probably the hottest game I have ever played – but the team showed our courage, determination and quality.
“I’ve watched a few (tournaments) and it seems easier to watch them than to play.
“But they (Croatia) are a top team as we’ve discovered before. It was up to us to push back their threats and face what they threw at us, but we also still have the quality. to disturb the teams. “
