Aston Villa fans rush to praise ‘icon’ Tyrone Mings after sharing brilliant honor
Aston Villa fans have praised Captain Tyrone Mings after the defender received an honorary doctorate in education from the University of Bath Spa.
The England defender shared photos of himself accepting the honor during a year to remember for the talented center-back.
Villa’s Mings not only produced incredible performances on the pitch, but used his status as a footballer to raise awareness about important social issues.
Posting on Twitter, Mings said: “A really special day in so many ways. @BathSpaUni for awarding me this honorary doctorate in education. I am extremely grateful to accept such a prestigious honor. ”
