Aston Villa flop exploded when last club collapsed

Former Welsh striker Iwan Roberts has criticized former Aston Villa midfielder Leandro Bacuna for his recent performances at Cardiff City.
Roberts voiced his passionate opinion on this week’s episode of the BBC’s EJFOF podcast regarding the Bluebirds’ woes after their midweek beating at the hands of West Brom.
Valerien Ismael’s Baggies earned their only second victory in five games against Cardiff in midweek and ex-Leicester City, Watford, Wolves and Norwich City forward Roberts took aim at Bacuna and failed to hold back his point from view of the player’s performance against the Baggies.
“I think Bacuna should never play for Cardiff again,” said Roberts. “If that’s all it takes to be a professional footballer, to follow the movements like he did – he wasn’t the only one in this second half.
“We could still play, if that’s all that’s expected of you. We could still play. He didn’t try a leg in the second half.
“It’s like they’re hiding behind the manager.
“Mick has to help himself. He knows he got the job because Neil Harris lost five games on the spin. Mick knows he doesn’t have long to turn things around.
“You look at October and they have tough, tough games. The reading flies after a bad start, the derby is on its own, they have Fulham, one of the best teams in the division, they have Middlesbrough, Neil Warnock, who would love to have one at his own club, and they face off against stoke who is fifth.
“He’s having a really tough October.”
