Aston Villa told to ‘keep’ 24-year-old Midlands side want to sign

Gabby Agbonlahor has urged Aston Villa to ‘keep on’ Keinan Davis this summer amid rumors Nottingham Forest want to re-sign him this summer, as he told talkSPORT.
Injuries have meant Davis hasn’t been part of Villa’s pre-season tour of Australia, with Agbonlahor adding the player is ‘another option’ for Steven Gerrard given another striker may not be signed .
Davis was loaned out to Forest last season and he made a huge impact in helping the Midlands giants secure a long-awaited return to the Premier League.
Villa were in that position not long ago and fans will know the feeling of wanting to re-sign these loan heroes and Forest are no different in wanting the 24-year-old back at the City Ground this summer.
VILLA STRIKER OPTIONS
Going into the new season, fans would likely be divided as to what forwards Gerrard should play on matchday one against Bournemouth.
This likely indicates uncertainty for these spots because the senior duo – Ollie Watkins and Danny Ings – are pretty wasted in front of goal.
Ings hasn’t had the impact he would have liked, although given his experience, fans are hoping he can show his worth now.
While Watkins scored 14 Premier League goals two seasons ago, he dipped last season scoring 11 goals, but there is still some serious quality in his locker.
Then there’s rising star Cameron Archer, who fans are desperate to see more of, has he pushed past Davis? Well, either he gets the chance to shine or he’s out on loan this summer.
