Holland & Barrett launches supplements for players

Almost half of Britons think being a player is a real career, a recent study by Beyond NRG found.
The study conducted last month found that nearly three-quarters (71%) of respondents believe gambling is taken more seriously than ever before, with just under half (47%) calling gamers celebrity esports.
When asked, 43% knew who famous YouTube streamer Pewdiepie was, but only 21% knew who global model Winner Harlow was.
Worldwide publication Illustrated sports just featured the FaZe Clan esports team on its cover this month, propelling a team of players to the forefront of the (traditional) global sports scene – under the headline “How the game giant FaZE, streaming and content creation is redefining what it means to be a team â.
Wellness giant Holland & Barrett today launches the UK’s first-ever department store listing for a supplement developed especially for gamers – Beyond NRG.
While the store is famous for its health supplements, this industry is seeing the Holland & Barrett website for the first time create a whole new category, dedicated to games.
Billy Webb, Founder and CEO of Beyond NRG, said, âWe are seeing an incredible difference in the way people view esports this year. There is a billion pound global supplement industry that aims to fuel your body for physical sports, but limited options that fuel mental performance for this ever-growing category. “
Products developed by scientists at Beyond NRG put health and care at the top of their agenda – a far cry from the traditional high-sugar, synthetic-caffeine-based alternatives that have been widely used by gamers thus far. .
