My husband Matt and I were very athletic. We spent two hours at the gym 5-6 days a week. We were in great shape and it was also something we enjoyed doing together.

Since my husband and I became parents, our priorities have changed. We have to worry about our little guy Nathan as well as our puppy Stella and we can’t always take the time to train well.

We started investing in training equipment like a stationary bike and my husband had said he wanted to get a set of weights.

Being the bargain and bargain hunter that I am, I follow many different Instagram accounts and one of them is Costco Deals. It has real Costco shoppers posting items they find in stores.

I spotted a set of weights similar to the one below and it was a good deal. Dumbbell weight sets usually cost a lot, but Costco was selling one by Inspire Fitness for $ 299.

I have looked, searched, and searched for this set of weights in a few Costco stores and have never seen it. The other day I was at Costco in Lawrence, and as I was going to check out, I spotted the box and the weights.

The box was open and it looked like it had been passed through. I asked the supervisor what the deal was and for some reason one of the sets of weights was missing from the box.

She said she should sell it to me at full price and I told her I wanted the full set and asked if they had any more in the store. She told me no.

Feeling a little defeated, this supervisor came back to me and asked if I was really interested in this set of dumbbells, she could check out other stores for me. We went to a computer and she started to search. Indeed, North Brunswick had a couple.

I got home, unloaded the Costco stuff I had, threw my son in the car, and flew to North Brunswick. Indeed, they had the fixed weight. I felt like a little child on Christmas morning.

What’s cool is that my husband had no idea I had it. I asked him to unload the car and when he saw the scenery he was so excited. It was installed in our garage a few hours later and he uses it as often as he can.

Important points of the woman for me! I’ll even be on the hunt for more workout equipment so he can workout in the garage and not have to worry about hitting the gym. Now, when he has free time at home, he will go straight to our garage.

So to this wonderful Costco supervisor, I’m so sorry I didn’t receive your name. Hope you see this somehow and realize that your kindness and the extra effort you put into making sure I have this weight made my husband and I so happy.

Hope you realize that people like you in this world and I am one of them. I think we all need to appreciate each other a little more these days and also verbalize it.
