Latest from Southampton: EPL rivals could play Ralph Hasenhuttl’s game this weekend
The Sun’s Tom Barclay believes Leeds’ style of play could suit Southampton when the two sides face off this weekend.
The Saints are back in action against Marcelo Bielsa’s men, chasing their first Premier League win of the season.
How has Southampton fared so far this season?
Ralph Hasenhuttl’s side have had a tough start to the campaign, collecting just four points in their opening seven matches.
It was not all pessimistic, as the team managed to secure honorable draws against both Manchester clubs, while preventing West Ham from scoring scoreless last month.
However, they only collected one point from their most winnable games against Newcastle and Wolves, leaving them just one spot and one point above the drop zone heading into the round of matches. this week-end.

What did Barclay say about Southampton’s clash with Leeds?
Southampton are preparing to face a Leeds side who only earned their first top-level win of the campaign just before the international home break against Watford.
The Yorkshire club are known to take the game to opposition at all times, and Barclay has claimed the approach could actually help Southampton on Saturday.
Referring to the style of Leeds’ front foot and how the game could go, Barclay told GIVEMESPORT: “Leeds will be interesting because Leeds do that no matter who they play. So maybe that will make Southampton play. You feel like they really need a win soon, and maybe that the Leeds game, with the way they play, will suit Southampton the best.

What is Southampton’s record against Leeds de Bielsa?
Barclay has hinted that he is imagining Southampton’s chances this weekend, but the Saints barely put a glove on Leeds last season.
In his first season back in the Premier League, Leeds dominated both competitions against Hasenhuttl’s men, win 3-0 at Elland Road, before winning 2-0 on the South Coast in May.
Southampton will need to make a much improved display this time around if they are to get a positive result but they have shown a few times this season that they are a game for any team when they are at their best.
Moreover, Leeds haven’t been running at full capacity lately so it might be a good time for Southampton to play them and finally get the upper hand over Bielsa’s side.
