Liverpool star Curtis Jones wanted £ 15million transfer from Aston Villa in shock as Dean Smith contemplates ambitious move
ASTON VILLA is ready to probe Liverpool on the purchase of talented youngster Curtis Jones.
The high-spending outfit remains in the market and could come as a surprise with Jones, 20, who has yet to make a solid breakthrough at Anfield.
Jones missed a place on the bench for Liverpool against Chelsea last night.
The local starlet is said to still see her future in Merseyside, but Villa is set to try her luck with an investigation.
Villa could cost around £ 15million which would put Liverpool in place and give them a decision to make.
The midfielder is under contract until 2025 at Anfield.
Jones has seven goals in 47 first-team appearances for his childhood club.
But the England Under-21 international has yet to play for the Reds this season.

He missed the day one win over Norwich due to concussion protocols.
Jones was then an unused substitute as Liverpool beat Burnley but did not make it to Matchday 20 for the 1-1 draw against Chelsea.
Dean Smith has already signed four new signings to his Villa first team this summer.
Danny Ings, Leon Bailey, Ashley Young and Emiliano Buendia arrived with the money received for Jack Grealish.
Axel Tuanzebe, meanwhile, has joined on a third loan at Villa Park from Manchester United.
