North Dakota waiter receives a tip of $ 700
A server in North Dakota just received a big Christmas bonus from a group of kind customers.
A 19-year-old waiter at a restaurant called Deaner’s Diner in West Fargo has just received a tip of $ 700 from a group of women committing a holiday act called “Shock N Clause”. According to a Deaner’s Diner Facebook post, the women gathered a bunch of money to pay for a meal and tip the rest of the money to a waiter. And the women found out that the waiter they had tipped definitely deserved.
To the surprise of the big tips, their server was the perfect recipient of the $ 700 tip.
Deaner’s Diner said the waiter has been through a lot in life and the tip has come on time for the perfect recipient. The waiter works at Deaner’s because it is his late mother’s favorite restaurant. She also lives alone with her younger sister who is in her final year of high school.
It’s the season of giving. Why not give to those who serve us all year round?
As someone who has worked in the service industry for 10 years, I know this time of year can be overwhelming. Many stores, restaurants, lounges and more face staffing issues and long working hours as vacation activities resume. So customers really need to keep friendliness in mind when they are on the go. And don’t forget to tip your servers, drivers, and anyone else you may want to spread the holiday cheer!
