Quality Car Wash receives approval to build on North Park Drive
HOLLAND TWP. – After the successful completion of a traffic study along North Park Drive, Quality Car Wash received unanimous approval to build a new location in Holland Township.
The approved site plan includes three toll lanes, vacuum cleaners and substantial landscaping. Construction will include the demolition of the old Pizza Hut at 2532 N. Park Drive.

When the project was first presented to the township, commissioners had serious concerns about the safety of adding another popular business to North Park Drive, which saw Pet Supplies Plus, Chick-fil-A and a gas station open in the past three years.
The private road also provides entry to Walmart, Burger King, Sam’s Club, Staples, Dollar Tree, Big Lots, and a host of other businesses in the square.
Quality Car Wash was commissioned to conduct a traffic survey as a condition for its special use and sitemap requests.
The study, presented in October, recommended redesigning the road to provide a southbound left turn lane for Burger King, adding clear signage to identify lane use, and providing turn tracks on the road. James Street to guide vehicles turning right from North Park Drive.

At the committee meeting on Tuesday, November 2, Mandi Brower, representative of Quality Car Wash, said the owner of the private drive had agreed to make the changes, although he refused to close one of the entrances. from the nearest Big Lots street, an optional recommendation of the study.
The pavement modifications are to be completed by June 2022. Construction of the wash house, in addition to another approved site at 187 N. River Ave., is expected to begin next year.
During the meeting, the commissioners also agreed to push back the regular meeting times for next year until 6 p.m.
