Saucetoberfest serves up a good spooky hot sauce in New Jersey
Are you ready for some heat? I don’t mean more summer, I mean the kind of heat you eat. Get ready to be part of the 6th Annual Saucetoberfest where the hot sauce is spooky!

It’s time to celebrate the hot peppers and the fall harvest! You are invited to enjoy fun days of contests, live music and entertainment, arts and crafts exhibitions, great food and lots of hot sauce!
There is something for everyone at Saucetoberfest. They will have Hayrides at the pumpkin patch, pumpkin picking, corn maize, hay maze, hot thorn sweet corn tasting contest, corn cannon, local farm produce, hot sauce gifts, 1st annual sweet corn tasting competition, John Dilley commemorative wings, farm animals, arts and crafts, antiques, pony rides, good food, fresh pies and baked goods, farm fresh food and produce, moms, corn stalks, straw and decorations and even more.
A fun day out for the whole family: $ 10.00 per person (includes a pumpkin patch walk, hay maze, farm animal feed, parking, and a corn maze walk) Free for children under 8 years old. Free for veterans.
Live music from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.
1:00 – Sweet corn tasting competition
Most eaten ears win
3:00 – The 1st annual John Dilley Memorial Wing Eating Contest
2:00 – Tasting competition for spiked pizzas
Most of the slices eaten win
3:00 – Fear the grim reaper
Progressive challenge of consuming hot peppers
4:30 – Prize for the best hot sauce
Everyone is welcome to participate in the contests. No entry fee, winners will receive a trophy and bragging rights! Register at Pavillon Kaycee and be ready to leave 15 minutes before the start of the contest.
Hot sauce samples will be available at vendor kiosks, anyone testing the taste is encouraged to vote for their favorite sauce company’s hot sauce by filling out a form and dropping it into the “voting basket.” The company with the most votes is the winner of the annual Best Hot Sauce of Customer’s Choice award for 2021!

Be sure to register in advance by calling 908 782 2705 or emailing [email protected] If you are a last minute candidate, register at Pavillon Kaycee on Saturdays and Sundays September 18-19. Remember, milk kills spices if you overdo it!
