Uttarakhand government to distribute interest-free loans to farmers on February 6 – The New Indian Express
DEHRADUN: The government of Uttarakhand will grant interest-free loans of up to Rs 3 lakh to 25,000 farmers and up to Rs 5 lakh to farmer groups on February 6 under the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Cooperative Farmers Welfare Scheme.
Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat will inaugurate the project on the same day on land near Kisan Bhawan.
The groundbreaking program will take place at the state headquarters and also in all development blocks.
This pattern was materialized during a meeting chaired by CM Trivendra Singh Rawat at his residence on Saturday.
Rawat said: “The interest of the farmers is of the utmost importance to us. This program will undoubtedly benefit farmers ”.
“Interest-free loans of up to Rs 5 lakh to farmer groups will promote agriculture,” he added.
Rawat also gave guidelines for organizing this large-scale program to reach as many farmers as possible.
Cooperative Minister Dr Dhan Singh Rawat and departmental officials attended the meeting chaired by the CM. The responsibilities of local MPs and other representatives were also set at the meeting.
Farmers will also be able to virtually follow the CM loan distribution program in NIC centers at district headquarters as well as at Block headquarters.
In addition, in each ward and district headquarters, local deputies and deputies will also distribute loan checks.
Secretaries RK Sudhansu, R Meenakshi Sundaram, Radhika Jha, Director General, Information, Meharban Singh Bisht, Senior Secretary Vandana, Director ITDA (Information Technology Development Agency) Amit Sinha were also present at the meeting.
