Woman cited by Smithville police for undressing in public park

A woman was cited for indecent exposure last month for undressing in a public park.
Stephanie Michelle Mooneyham, 29, of Crestlawn Avenue, allegedly committed the offense on May 18.
According to Smithville Police, Mooneyham allegedly pulled his clothes off above her waist in a public park, exposing her chest, and then started removing her clothes from below her waist. Several people in the area witnessed the offense.
Benjamin Thomas Duffey, 21, of Meadow Brook Drive, was arrested on May 2 for aggravated assault (domestic). Police say Duffey assaulted his victim by hitting her and trying to suffocate her. Police learned that the two were returning home after attending a party and started arguing. Once home, the argument became physical. The victim had red marks around his neck and scratches on his person. The bond for Duffey is $ 20,000.
David Allen Cobb, 39, of Luttrell Avenue, was arrested on May 4 for assault and has been cited for criminal trespassing. Police said Cobb pushed his victim in order to enter the house where he had committed a trespassing offense the day before. His deposit is $ 3,500.
Cedric Anthony Cruz, 20, of Dowelltown, was cited on May 8 for speeding and simple possession of a Schedule VI drug. During a routine speeding check, police discovered that Cruz was in possession of approximately 3.5 ounces of marijuana.
Joe Anthony Young, 54, of Lee Homer Road, was arrested on May 11 for aggravated assault. Police were dispatched to 218 Jennings Lane where someone allegedly threatened people with a screwdriver. Police learned that Young allegedly cut his victim with a knife in several places, including his face and hand. Bond for Young is $ 10,000. His court date is June 10.
Porsche Lynn Cantrell, 31, was arrested on May 14 for a third offense of impaired driving and a citation was issued for violating the open container law and financial liability. Officers were called to the Pizza Hut parking lot due to a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival, the police confronted Cantrell who smelled of alcohol and his speech was scrambled.
Officers learned that Cantrell jumped off the sidewalk of Pizza Hut in his automobile, colliding with another vehicle. Cantrell submitted to field sobriety tasks but performed poorly. An empty bottle of Jim Beam whiskey was recovered from the center console of her vehicle and she could not provide proof of insurance. The bond for Cantrell is $ 6,000 and his court date is June 24.
Sean Douglas Austin, 21, of Wade Street, was arrested on May 14 for aggravated assault (domestic). Police were dispatched to 323 Wade Street where Austin was reportedly seen playing with a car. Upon arrival, police found Austin inside the house and he was detained due to active warrants against him. Police learned that Austin threatened his victim for not giving him his car keys. He then grabbed her neck and tried to suffocate her. Bond for Austin is $ 10,000 and his court date is June 10.
Patsy Lynn Estes, 48, of Yulanda Hills Road, was cited on May 18 for theft. Estes reportedly walked into the Moses Discount Tobacco store on March 26 and took about $ 25 worth of candy without paying for it. The theft was filmed by a surveillance camera.
Maranda Rose Smith, 32, of Andrew Street, was arrested on May 19 for aggravated assault. Smith allegedly punched another woman in the face, possibly breaking her nose with a baseball bat. The blow caused swelling and a gash on the bridge of the victim’s nose. The bond for Smith is $ 10,000.
Justin Matthew Cripps 33, 33 of Grande Avenue, was arrested on May 21 for simple possession, reckless endangerment and riding. Police say a BOLO (be on the lookout) was issued for a semi-truck that may have been stolen by Cripps and was spotted heading towards Wal-Mart and traveling on the wrong side of the highway . Police learned that Cripps had been told by his supervisor at McCormick Trucking that he could not drive the tractor-trailer, but he jumped into the truck and took off towards Wal-Mart anyway. Police stopped the truck and clashed with Cripps in a grassy field in front of Wal-Mart. After taking possession of the vehicle, police were allowed to search the semi-truck after spotting 8.4 grams of a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana on the floor in front of the driver’s seat where Cripps was sitting. Cripps was taken into custody. His bond has been set at $ 30,000 and his court date is June 10.
Marissa Paige Anderson, 23, of Page Drive, was cited on May 21 for theft. Anderson was spotted in Wal-Mart trying to cover up some merchandise. The items were collected and returned to the store. His court date is June 10.
Daniel Aguirre, 25, of Campbell Road, was arrested on May 21 for vandalism. Police said Aguirre approached the east entrance to the courthouse and threw a piece of asphalt at the door. The asphalt shattered the glass and landed inside the hall. Police then found Aguirre across the street and took him into custody. His deposit is $ 1,500.
Rickey Lynn Martin, 40, of Judkins Lane, was arrested on May 23 for public drunkenness. Police responded to a call from a possibly intoxicated person in the 500 block of East Broad Street. The officer found and confronted the man, Martin, whose speech was blurred. He was also unstable on his feet. Police learned that Martin may have taken LSD the night before and thrown a crack pipe down the Mapco Express bathroom just before the officer contacted him. For his safety and that of the public, Martin has been taken into custody. His bail is $ 1,500 and he will appear in court on June 10.
Lacy Lee West, 38, of Dowelltown, was arrested on May 26 for a second impaired driving offense. Police say West was seen unconscious in her vehicle which was pulled over in the middle of the roadway on Steeple Chase Drive with the engine running and the transmission running. After waking her up, the police had West checked by EMS and she was cleared of any medical need, but she smelled of alcohol and was unsteady on her feet. West went through several sobriety tasks on the field, but performed poorly. Bond for West is $ 3,000 and its court date is June 10.
Richard B Turner, 49, of Fisher Avenue, was arrested on May 27 for domestic assault and resisting arrest or arrest. Police say Turner assaulted his victim by grabbing her by both arms and pushing her against a door inside their residence, leaving marks on her arms and an early indication of bruising. Turner, who was severely drunk and refused to cooperate with the police, attempted to get away from them several times during his detention. Once inside the patrol car, Turner started banging on the door panel. His bail is $ 8,500 and he will appear in court on June 10.
