Worcester’s mum Hubbard targets Binley Mega Chippy’s TikTok success
A Worcester chip shop has attempted to recreate the viral hit of Binley Mega Chippy.
Mother Hubbard’s famous Fish and Chips, which opened at Shrub Hill Retail Park last month, released its own version of the song that took TikTok by storm.
TikTok users will already be familiar with Binley’s song Mega Chippy – and how Coventry’s takeaway has been besieged with visits from new fans from across the UK after a post on the media platform social has gone viral.
The takeaway images have inspired a number of video tributes, including a simple but catchy song that has been viewed hundreds of thousands of times.

Inevitably, other takeaways have tried to grab a slice of the action and Worcester’s newest chippy hasn’t been shy about trying it out.
“Bring Back Pizza Hut”
Mother Hubbard’s effort didn’t quite reach the heights of the original but had over 2,500 views.
Takeout didn’t figure prominently in the responses, with a number of users cheekily calling for the return of Pizza Hut, the former occupant of the Mother Hubbard building.
One user pleaded “everyone wants Pizza Hut back, give it back to us man” and another simply said “bring back Pizza Hut”.

The franchise has a number of branches in the north of England and recently opened in Birmingham as part of a major expansion.
